Biography

As a freelance writer, my passion is telling the stories of people who do amazing things. I've interviewed the famous -- Harrison Ford, Erik Lindbergh -- and the not so famous -- a priest in Haiti who feeds hungry children, an artist who has developed an unusual way to market her work, a young American woman who gave up her life in this country to live in the garbage dumps of Guatemala City, teaching kids.

I've spent a day flying with an air ambulance crew, endured Botox injections, and even learned to pilot a plane. In each case, I've uncovered the humanity of my subject and shared that with my readers.

I'm also the managing editor of Sculptural Pursuit Magazine, a quarterly art and literary journal dedicated to sharing the world of three-dimensional art with collectors, galleries, and artists.

I'm a member of Visionary Writers on Purpose, a group of freelancers dedicated to changing the world of publishing from one of competition to one of collaboration and co-creation, and, in the process, to creating a world on purpose.

I'm finishing a book, Flight Across America: A Journey of Hope and Healing, about a 2002 aviation event that helped restore the magic and spirit of flight in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

I also edit, ghostwrite, and help other writers find their creative voices through a series of retreats that I host in Colorado.
